You may have noticed I have slowed down my blog posts lately. It's not that I haven't been stamping because I have. It's more that I'm prepping for classes, parties, caseing other people's work, and making projects in bulk that I'm not sure would interest you. And of course the holidays are upon us. I hope you all had a wonderful turkey day! My family celebrated Thanksgiving in St. Cloud at my sister's house. Actually we didn't have Thanksgiving in her actual house - we had it in their old chicken barn. What can I say we are high classed people all the way! They live on some property outside of the city and used to raise chickens. SInce then they have carpeted it, sheet rocked, installed some heat and most importantly, a bathroom with indoor plumbing. You see, I come from a family of 10 kids and between all of my siblings, their spouses, and 27 grandkids, there's a lot of us! We have a hard time fitting in most of our homes. This actually turned out to be a good space for us. We could all eat together(sort of). After the meal, we all broke into busy little groups. Some of us played cards, some worked on puzzles, some played with the outdoor cats and dog, some played music and sang, and some watched movies. Good times!
Now that Thanksgiving is over we are moving onto Christmas. My daughter and I hit the Black Friday sales. As she says, 'it's tradition." We headed out around 7:30 am and lasted until about 4 pm. I think that's a record for us. I did some damage to the pocket book that is for sure! We made good progress on our shopping lists but there is still more to do. My husband has a birthday next week too so I had to concentrate on that first. Now I have no clue what to get him for Christmas.
I thought I would share some projects that are going to come in handy for me this Christmas.
The first is a Christmas gift card holder. The second project is a punch art reindeer gift tag cased from a tag class posted on the demonstrator website by Mercedes Weber. Isn't it cute? I figure you can put it on a package and then steal it back and use it on a scrapbook page! hehehe.
The third project is a birthday gift card holder. This one is using the Crazy for Cupcakes set. This holder is for a customer who purchased a gift card for her friend. She was very specific that it needed to be a birthday gift card holder and not Christmas. It's important that we keep these things separate at this time of year. These holder are so fun and easy to make!
I'll be back with more gift items, packaging and money holders for you soon!
