This card was based on sketch. I waited so long to do it I can't remember from where. I thought it was from Beate's blog but I couldn't find it. If you know this sketch let me know so I can link it up! Mr. Twigster was feeling neglected lately(as if!) so I grabbed him for this sketch. I inked him up with jetblack stazon on whisper white cardstock. It's kind of hard to see the details but I shaded the side of his face and body with baja blue and added glitter. Then I sponged around the 1 3/4" circle with Sahara Sand and ran my 2-way glue pen over it and added more glitter. The scallop behind it is from the Sizzix Pennant die. The edges of the Ski Slope designer paper are paper pierced. I just got the Cheery Chat rub-ons today and they were laying on my crafting table so I grabbed them to use for the sentiment. I first cut out a chocolate chip "winter wishes" but in my haste I cut off the W and part of the sentiment next to it. Dang! I had my heart set on "winter wishes" so I used the white sheet instead. It turns out I like it better! Don't you love it when your mistakes make your project better?
I have a fun night ahead of me. I don't have to make dinner because my daughter is going to. She's making us chicken kiev. She's made it several times before so I know she's up to the challenge. Then Survivor is on! Yippee! It's one of the few shows I make a point to watch each week. Then I have some stamping to do. I have a demo meeting tomorrow night and I need to make my swaps. I just got some new valentine stamps, paper, and punch in so I will be playing with that. Have a great night!
