Stamp Club cards

I hope everyone had a happy 4th of July!  We had a fun time!  We went to a bbq at our friend's house.  The weather was crazy!  It was sunny and warm, then cloudy and cool, then it rained.  My friend had 35 people at her house so at one point we all ended up inside.  We decided to have a talent show.  The kids entertained us with various talents.  The adults were the audience.  Here is my youngest doing the splits.

The fireworks were timed to music.  I thought they were especially good this year!

The day after fireworks I went to the Paramore and No Doubt concert with my friend Kristina, her husband David, their daughters Morgan and Mallory and my daughter Rebecca and her friend Taylor.  It was an awesome concert!  Rebecca and Taylor are huge fans of Paramore so they loved that part.  Gwen Stefani and No Doubt was amazing!  There set was all in white and very modern looking.  They had a monster screen in back of them that had different videos and graphics to go with the songs.  Gwen is in amazing shape and I can't believe her energy!

Monday night was stamp club.  Here are two of the cards we did for club.

This technique is called Brayered Roses and was created by Patty Bennett.  Here is her tutorial on it.
I used the new In colors Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango with Crushed Curry polka dot ribbon.

This next card is a CASE of someone's card I found blog surfing.  I embossed the white background with the harlequin background(it's hard to see in the picture).  The basic gray is stamped in basic gray with the circle circus stamp set.  This is going to become a go to set for me for making fun different backgrounds and accents!

Happy 4th of July!

In celebration of the USA Independence day the design team from Scrap and Stamp created pages with a patriotic theme and at least one stamp.  Here is the page I created for this week's challenge.

Each design team member had different product to work with on their page.  I was given this burgundy designer paper to work with.  I based my color scheme on the dp.  The sketch came from the 52 sketches sketch blog.

The stamping I did on my page was I rolled with a textured jumbo wheel   on some bravo burgundy cardstock.  I stamped the large star with a rustic star from the Stampin' Up! retired set called Artifacts and punched it out with the large star punch.  I stamped a larger image and then punched out with small stars.  I created the strips on the side with some bravo burgundy cardstock and used my scallop edge punch along one edge.  Then I layered a strip of Not Quite Navy cardstock and then put a strip of clear glitz frosting across it.  The mini patriotic bingo card is from Jenni Bowlin.  I added some glitz stars too.  For my title I used my Gogo boots Sizzix alphabet.

When I went to Regionals in April we had the opportunity to earn this new cute stamp set for FREE!  Well, you know I was all over that!  This set is in the new catalog and it is called "On a Pedestal" 
I'm in some swaps to get new samples and this is one of my swaps using this set.

It's based on this Mojo Monday sketch.
