Yesterday was my husband, Doug's birthday. During the Luigi punch art session, Nick and I also collaborated on this card for Doug.
My husband is a very handy guy so the Totally Tool stamp set is perfect for him! He built me a beautiful craft room, he totally refinished our basement, can do repairs, and has built himself a man cave in our garage. I think it's his love of working with his hands that makes him understand about my paper crafting obsession. He's also been so supportive of this wonderful hobby and business that I have. Anyhoo, back to the card. Nick stamped the image in jet black stazon on whisper white cardstock. He colored it in with an aquapainter and the Basic gray and close to cocoa ink pad. The corrugated paper came from a mailer packaging I received. I love the texure it gives the project. The brads were some I had in my stash. The only adhesive that was up to the challenge of holding the corrugated paper to the focal image was the Mono Multi glue. It's a white liquid glue that drys clear. It sets pretty quickly and is very strong. Nick wheeled the base of the card with the Texture jumbo wheel and Basic Gray ink.
Now for the Sock Mystery. For the past couple of weeks I keep finding 1 white sock on my living room floor. The strange thing is that it appears after my husband has gone to work and my kids are off at school. It doesn't happen everyday. But it appears about 3-4 times a week. It is always one of my boys' socks. I never see Lucy our cat with the sock but I figure she must be taking it from the hamper upstairs near their bedrooms and bringing it down. My kids want me to set up a webcam to catch her in the act. I'm not ready to go to those extremes......yet! Here's Lucy and the sock I found today.
Just hanging out with the sock. She looks innocent enough. I think that crafty cat is just trying to play with my mind. What do you think? Have you ever had a pet do something like this? I'd love to hear your stories!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
