This past week passed by in a blur of driving my kids places, soccer, playdates, and errands. Sadly, not a lot of stamping for me. :( I did teach a kids stamping class on Tuesday. There was an 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 year old girl at the class. They made 5 birthday cards with matching stamped envelopes. It was fun to see them get creative. On one card I used the owl from the Fox and Friends stamp set. One of the girls asked to use a different animal in the set, which opened up the door for all of the girls to choose a different animal. They each ended up picking a different animal in the set. Kinda funny. There was a monkey, lion, whale, giraffe, and fox....everything but an owl. And I thought owls were so in. Not with this crowd.
A lot of you have asked how my son, Nick's soccer team did in the state tournament. They lost the first game 1-0. It was a very good game. The team they lost to went on to win state. They played one more game which they tied 1-1. The teams are pretty evenly matched when you get to this level. This weekend it's tryouts for next year's Summer competitive team. They are moving up a level to C1. I don't know what Nick will do if he doesn't make it. I think he stands a good chance but there are more kids trying out this year too.
My other big news is that my 16 year old daughter got her first job at Papa Murphy's! We are so excited for her! Both of her best friends just got a job so she especially wanted to get one. It will be tricky juggling it with her tough class schedule in 11th grade but hopefully she'll manage it.
Are you still with me? If so, your reward is a card I stamped today! I reached for the set, Morning Cup, again. I just love the style of this set! I embossed it with versamark ink and black embossing powder and then colored the coffee pot in with ink pads and an aquapainter.
Ink: Versamark, Poppy Parade, Pacific Point
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Pacific Point, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight
Other: Poppy Parade ribbon, 1 3/4" circle punch, 2 3/8" circle scallop punch, dots embossing folder, square lattice embossing folder, stampin' dimensionals, aquapainter
Thanks for stopping by today!
