I had a party for my downline group last night. I just love these ladies! We shared a potluck dinner of chicken terriyaki, oriental salad, fresh fruit, bread, and chocolate pound cake with raspberries and ice cream. Yummy! Then we did lots of chatting, talking business, and stamping of course! We did a shoebox swap and I also had a project for them. Here we all are after enjoying the yummy dinner.
Back row: Kelly, me(Kathleen), Cathy
Front row: Nancy, Paula
I made a couple of goodies for them. The first are some mugs I picked up at Ikea for only 59 cents each. I used some home decor vinyl you can buy from Stampin' Up! in a variety of colors. I die cut them with a flower from the Baskets and Blooms Sizzix die and Simple Letters alphabet die
Next I made them this Sweet Treat Stationary Holder. I bought the template from Jo Dumbelton here.
Then we started our card swap. The first card is Nancy's swap. A simple but pretty card made with the Just Believe stamp set.
This next card was created by Cathy with the Friends Never Fade stamp set. Lots of sponging and pretty details on her card.
This third card was made by Paula. She case'd the idea from Gretchen Baron. You can buy templates for all kinds of cute punch art bugs on her blog here.
I was having an off stamp night. I can see I messed up the highlighting in this ladybug's eyes and Kelly made 2 beautiful cards that I messed up big time so I think I may redo those before posting. I will be back later with my card and hopefully a video tutorial on how I made it.
Thanks for stopping by!
Kathleen
