I've been complaining a lot about the cold and the winter to my family lately. I told my husband and kids we should move somewhere warm. My kids say no, they love it in Minnesota. I was only kidding. I do love it in Minnesota but the cold does get to me sometimes. It feels good to hear the kids say they love it here too! I think I need to plan a vacation somewhere warm though. :)
This month during stamp club we had a Christmas winter theme. We made this card. The medallion and the greeting banner are a case from the very talented Sandy McIver. It is die cut with the scallops #2 Sizzix die, and then each scallop is punched with the crop-a-dile. Isn't that a cool effect? The rim of the circle is ringed in mono multi glue and sprinkled with the silver glass glitter from the holiday mini. The background is done by running a piece of carstock vellum through the Northern Flurries Embossing folder. Then I layered the vellum over some Baja Breeze cardstock.
