Manly Swap

Each new catalog I participate in a WOW card swap with a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators. It's kind of tricky coming up with a WOW masculine card but I made an attempt with this one. I started with a Monday Mojo Sketch, used some new masculine dp called Nautical Expedition from the new Summer mini which comes out May 1 and a new stamp set from the mini called The Open Sea.  The red and white baker's twine is from the mini too.

 

I have a busy weekend ahead.  We have the Regional Science Fair with my youngest, Sam and a weekend soccer tournament for my middle son, Nick.  I know the weekend is going to fly by!

Happy Easter!

Easter morning is bright and sunny.

Just in time for the Easter bunny. 

Boys and girls awake with glee.

Eggs and baskets they can't wait to see.

TIme to get dressed in their Sunday best.

Let's all make mom impressed.

Go to church and thank our Savior.

Let's all keep in the Lord's good favor.

Spend some time with extended family.

Just a quick little Easter poem I threw together this morning.  It is nice and sunny here in Minnesota this morning.  We are dashing around getting ready for church.  I wanted to share a quick punch art flower I created for a gift bag punch art class I held this past week.

April Recipe Club Cards

How's life?  Mine?  As busy as ever.  This week has been a whirlwind.  I had my Stamp and Scrap Sale on Saturday.  It snowed, it was cold, but we had lots of people here and sold a bunch!  Sunday I had my recipe  card club and I'll share the recipe cards here today with you.  Monday it was back to work, an interview, make dinner, bring my son to gymnastics and deliver a Stampin' Up! order to a friend.  Tuesday my husband had to go out of town at the last minute-on that day!  So Tuesday evening I have to drive my son and his friend back and forth to soccer, pick up dinner, have pick up for my customers who were in my sale.  Wednesday I got the job I interviewed for!  I had to tell my boss-whew! not fun!  and then get dinner for my family, and prep for my punch art class that evening.  And now it's Thursday.  Much to do before Easter.  But somehow it all gets done, right?

Enough about my busy life.  I"m sure yours is just as busy! Here are the three recipe cards we did this month:

 

I found the chocolate bon bon idea from another blog.  I stamped one of the frames from the four frame set and embossed it with Winter White embossing powder and punched it out with the 1 1/4" circle punch and cutting the bottom straight across.  I also used the Paisley Petals designer paper from the March promotion at Stampin' Up! this month.

 

 
I was going for the nostalgic look here.  This is my attempt at a punch art crock pot.  This recipe is done in the crock pot so that's the tie in.

Carrot Box

I have seen several versions of this carrot box floating around blog land.  This is made from the Petal Cone die.  I made this one for my hostess, Phyllis, a couple of weeks ago.  We made another version in stamp club last night.  I added the simple punch art bunny cased from Mary Fish.

 

Spring has finally sprung here in Minnesota!  Everyone has come out of hibernation and started walking, running, biking, or any excuse to enjoy the nice weather.  After the winter we endured, this is a well deserved Spring! 

I'm having a Spring Gift Bag class on Wednesday, April 20.  I will post one of the projects for the class in the next day or so.  Stay tuned!

Also, for those local paper crafters, I am having my 4th Annual Stamp and Scrap Sale on Saturday, April 16 from 8 am to 3 pm.  This has been a huge sale in the past and promises to be another one.  I will have some more details next week.

Spring card

I got a little time to play in my craft room this weekend.  It makes me so happy!  I made this card with the sneak peek stamp set, Four Frames, and the the sneak peek dp called Paisley Petals.

 

The kids are back to school after their long Spring break.  My youngest was complaining about it last night until I set him straight.  I had to work all during their break.  I didn't get to do all of the fun things they got to do.  He quieted down pretty quickly after that!

I have to dash!  Off to work.
