Fall Wow Swaps

Happy last day of September.  Can you believe it?! Time surely does fly.

I was in a WOW swap for the Holiday mini recently and I want to share some of those with you. 

This first card is by Glenda Calkins.  Isn't it gorgeous!  It's all sparkly and pretty in real life.

 

Next up is a card by Jenn Gulch.  She sewed our fabric together for a quilted look under the popped up square frame.  Talented lady!

 
And the last card today is by Gail O'Neill.  The leaves are embossed and the frame is the top note die - turned and die cut again!

Cute and Spooky!

I'm back with more Halloween to share.  I have started decorating for Halloween but this weekend I'm going to bring it all out.  I'm hosting my bunko group in October and my son, Nick, wants to have a Halloween party so I have lots of excuses to decorate.....not that I need them!

 

I can't get enough of Spooky bingo bits.  It's my go to stamp set this year!  I teamed it with the Halloween designer paper from the Holiday mini, Pick your Poison.

Ink: Concord crush, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Luscious Limeade, Basic Gray

Paper: Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper white, Pick your Poison dp

Homecoming

I've been busy around here but not with stamping.  Homecoming was this week for my kids.   Here's Nick decked out for spirit day and the big game.

 

We spray painted his hair black!

Here's Rebecca before the Homecoming dance.

 

And one with her and her boyfriend, Jake. 
And her and her two best friends, Taylor and Brittany.

 
Then we had my mom's 80th birthday party on Sunday.  Here's a shot of my mom and all of my brothers and sisters.

 

 
 

It was a special day.  Lots of laughter, talking, sharing memories, food, and my mom's favorite dessert - icecream!

Cute and Spooky!

I couldn't stay away from Halloween for too long.  Not when there are so many cute things to play with!  I can't get enough of this stamp set, Spooky Bingo Bits.  Here's a quick and simple card with it.

The stockings were hung

 I'm taking a little break from Halloween to bring you Christmas.  Can you believe it?  But really, if you are going to make Christmas cards you have to plan ahead.  This darling new set, called stitched stockings has a coordinating punch.  It even punches out separate pieces for the top trim, heel and toe!  It's easy to bling it up with the new silver glimmer paper.  Love it!

A-pear-antly

Hello!  Happy Sunday. And Sunny it is!  We spent Friday night and Saturday getting ready for our annual end of Summer BBQ.  We had wonderful weather for it last night.  There were kids running around everywhere and having a blast while the adults were hanging out in the garage aka man cave where all the food was!  Now who were the smart ones?

It's fun having the party but it's always kind of relief when it's over too.  Big events kind of feel that way to me.  You can get stressed out and overwhelmed with the work to be done beforehand. Now that it's over I can kick back and relax. 

Speaking of relaxing, stamping comes to mind.  I am going to share another one of the cards we made at stamp club this month.  This card was a CASE from a WOW swap card I received from Carol Millay.  The pear is embossed on some neutral designer paper and then the edges are sponged with soft suede ink.  I the effect this gives the image.

More Halloween

It's Friday, the kids have almost completed their first week of school and we have a busy weekend planned!  Tomorrow is our 21st Annual Hopperstad End of Summer BBQ and we are so NOT ready!  It will come togther - it always does.

Happy Fall!

We have turned the page on the calendar to September and along with it some cooler weather.  It's a welcome change as far as I'm concerned.  I'm ready to wear jeans and long sleeves again.  I wish I could stretch this weather out to 6 months or so. 

I have been having some computer issues again. sigh.  Kept me from blogging.  I do have some stamping to share.  This card was one of the cards we made at stamp club last week.  I cased it from Erica Cerwin but tweaked the colors and images a little bit.

I'll definitely be using this layout again.  ONe of the things I love about it is all of the dimension.  I am a dimensional girl.  Hah!
