My daughter, Rebecca, graduates from high school this Friday. We had her graduation party Memorial weekend. I'm glad we had it early. It was a lot of fun and a ton of work but I'm glad it's over. Rebecca is our oldest so we were new to this whole grad party thing. There is definitely a learning curve.
Let me start with the graduation card. I didn't send a graduation announcement. I sent an invitation to her graduation party. I made them in Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio software. Here is what I came up with.
This is the front cover.
This is the inside.
I created an inside page with the details of when, where, etc. and a back cover. I had them printed through Stampin' Up!'s printing place and the quality was amazing! It was fun to come up with something different and unique for her cards!
For her party I went way overboard on the food. This is my first one graduating so I had no idea what to expect. We had hers early so there wasn't other grad parties on that day so her friends stuck around. We served Buffalo wild wings in 3 flavors, Subway sandwiches in 3 flavors, 2 kinds of pasta salad, Oriental Cabbage salad, Peggy Potatoes(dairy potatoes), fresh mixed berries, chips and a dessert table with big jars of candy, tons of bars, oreo truffles, chocolate covered oreos on a stick and a chocolate fountain with all kinds of things for dipping including pound cake, brownie bites, fresh strawberries, pretzel chips and potato chips. We sent a bunch of food home with people, I brought some into work, we froze what we could and ate leftovers all week.
One of the fun things we did was set up a photo booth. I hired my friend's daughter, Rachel of Rachel Lea photography, and she came and set up a backdrop for the photos, I bought a bunch of fun props, and she took photos during the party.
And here's some fun photos from the photo booth:
It was a very fun day!
Thanks for stopping by today!
