Soda Pop

This is one of my Wow swap cards for convention.  This new stamp set is called Cycle Celebration.  I was drawn to this one right away!  I stamped the soda bottle on Whisper white cardstock and die cut it with the ovals framelits.  Then I stamped it again on Soft Sky cardstock and cut out the label pieces and glued on.  This paper piecing was putzy but so worth it! I added some glitz and glam with the silver glitter cardstock.  I punched out the large scallop circle and adhered that behind the oval on the main image and also punched the new Artisan label punch and adhered that behind the oval greeting. The main image is completed with some paper piercing around the red label piece. The greeting is also part of this stamp set.  I stamped it once on real red cardstock and again on Soft sky cardstock.  I punched out the red piece with the designer label punch and soft sky piece with the oval punch.

It feels so good to be back in my craft room creating wow swaps!  It's a busy time of year to fit this in but what time of year isn't really? My Summer has pretty much been soccer and swaps, soccer and swaps, soccer and swaps.  The Stampin' Up! convention is coming up in about 3 weeks so it's full steam ahead on the cardmaking.

This card is a case from Heather Summers.  Isn't it gorgeous?  All of the big ornaments are popped up on dimensionals. The color combination is Rose Red, So Saffron, and Soft Sky. It features the Mosaic Madness stamp set, Mosaic punch, and Modern Mosaic embossing folder.  Tip:  Purchase the stamp set and punch together as a bundle and save 15 percent! 

I spent a lot of time in my craft room this weekend creating swaps for convention. I'm pretty excited about what I'm creating!  I will share them soon.

We have a busy week of soccer this week.  The kids are off to dentist appointments with dad this morning and I must scurry off to work!

Thinking of You

We made this card in stamp club earlier this month.  It is adapted from a card by Melissa Davies. The label is stamped in crumb cake.  I punched out the middle with my 1 inch circle punch and then went back and punched it out with the new Artisan label punch.  The labels are all popped up with dimensionals.

I have been working hard on my card swaps for the upcoming Stampin' Up! convention.  I completed one Wow card swap of 30 cards.  These took me a looooong time!  I prepped some of the pieces and brought them with me to a soccer tournament last weekend.  I have to fit the time in whenever I can! I have at least 3 more Wow swap designs to go.  I have to get some more time in my craft room to come up with them.  Send mojo my way!

While I was in my craft room the other night I was watching the Voice finale.  Bruno Mars performed on it and he was fantastic!  I knew he was coming to town in July in Minneapolis/St. Paul so I decided that's it!  I went on Stub Hub and found two tickets to the concert.  I'm taking my youngest, Sam, to his first concert!  He is beyond excited!  Me too! This will be a blast to take him.

I was playing around with some new stuff this weekend.  Here is a card I made with the new Chalk Talk stamp set and the hostess stamp set, Simply Sketched.  The Chalk Talk set has a coordinating framelits Sizzix die set you can buy that will cut out all of the shapes.  Buy it as a bundle and save!  

The colors I used are Midnight Muse, Pistachio Pudding, and new designer paper called Venetian Romance.  Did you notice the new candy dots on the chalk talk shape?  They are so quick and easy to place a punch of color anywhere and they come in every one of Stampin' Up!'s core colors!
