Pop-n-Cuts swap card

This was one of my swap cards for a WOW card swap at convention.  It is made with the Pop-n-cuts Sizzix die for Stampin' Up! It is not near as hard as it looks.  The die creates the pop up mechanism for you.  It also coordinates with the dress framelits.  It is so much fun to use all of these tools that coordinate!

I had my Stampin' Up! Open House this past weekend.  The day was a little cool and rainy so it was a perfect day to come indoors and do some fun stamping!

Giraffe Swap card!

This was one of my card swaps at Convention.  I used the Zoo Babies stamp set.  This is a double z fold card. 

Recipe: Stamps: Zoo Babies, Fabulous Phrases(greeting), Bring on the Cake(inside greeting)

Ink: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black Stampin' Write markers

Other: Ovals framelits, Labels Collection framelits, Brights Candy Dots,5/8" white organza ribbon

I forgot how beautiful this white organza ribbon is!  It is a dream to tie into a bow and so gorgeous!

Convention was a blast!  Stampin' Up! spoiled us rotten and gave away so many free goodies in celebration of 25 years!  There are some fun stuff coming your way.  Stay tuned!

I took Monday and Tuesday off of work to have time to stamp after convention.  I always leave convention full of ideas and itching to stamp and try some of them out but I never seem to have the time.  It was a nice treat to myself to have this extra time.  It's back to work tomorrow though.

Flower Swap

This was one of my swaps at convention.  The flower stamp set is a hostess stamp set called Happy Flowers.  It's yours for the very affordable price of $10 clear mount or $14 wood mount when you host a party or book party of $150 or more.  Heck, you can buy your own $150 worth of stuff and earn it too! You actually get it for free, it is just $10 or $14 of your free hostess dollars you earn.

Convention Gifts

One tradition that is fun to follow at Convention are little gifts for Convention downline, roommates and/or friends.  This year I am lucky enoughto be going to Convention and rooming with my downline Kelly and Angela!  I made the following gifts for them.

These are bag tags.  Everyone gets the same awesome bag from Stampin' Up! at convention so if we tie these on our bag they will identify them as ours and not one of the other 5000+ demonstrators at convention.

These are little notebooks I convered with cardstock and embellished.  They open up like a book. They are started out as the small size legal pads.  I had them cut in half at Office Max and created a score line in the middle of the cardstock so they have a front and back cover.  We all grow a huge wish list at Convention so we will be able to record it here.

These are luggage tags.  I had a stash of luggage tags in a sleeve that just needed some refurbishing.  The tags started out with some cutesy saying but I covered it in cardstock and embellished it.  You can record your name and address on the back in case you luggage didn't get where it was supposed to go. I just slipped the embellished tags back in the sleeve and voila!

Kelly and Angela will receive this gifts inside the Tag and bag gift bags from Stampin' Up! the bags come decorated in that fun white chevron print.  I could have embellished them more but I ran out of creative juices and time!  the clothespin closures are covered with the narrow size washi tape. It's the perfect fit!

Beautiful Butterflies!

We made this simple and elegant butterfly card at a recent Stampin' Up! party!  I loved pairing some of the new In colors with another color to get the monochromatic butterflies.

Christmas Reindeer

This is such a fun set to color!  I stamped the reindeer on Stampin' Up!'s watercolor paper and colored in with markers.  The markers blend smoothly on the watercolor paper.  I'm loving the new burlap ribbon that is in the Holiday catalog!  New products coming your way August 1!

I'm busy packing and taking care of last minute stuff today.  I had my 2 month old crown break off on Tuesday evening.  An unscheduled trip to the dentist became part of my pre-trip to do list today. Luckily, they were able to fit me in around other patients and get me a temporary crown until we can get a permament one scheduled in a few weeks.

Halloween Sneak Peek

Living Large

Here's a card I came up with while playing with some new stuff.  This new set called Zoo Babies, is one of my faves! 

I have the next week and a half off of work.  I'm going to the Stampin' Up! convention on Thursday but it is amazing how quickly I filled the rest of the week up.  That vacation time is precious!
