The kids are settling more into life in Texas. The people we bought our house from were in town this weekend and stopped by. They were staying at one of the neighbor's houses. The daughters still live here with their dad. The neighbor had an impromptu get together and we stopped over. Nick even came out with his longboard. He ended up talking to the previous' owners' daughter who is a senior at his school and who also has a longboard. A longboard, in case you don't know, is like a skateboard but built for covering distance rather than doing tricks. They went out longboarding together and talked for awhile. I think Nick has made a new friend.
Sam wouldn't come out and visit with the neighbors. Grrr! But he did get invited to hang out with a new friend from school this Friday. Yeah! He also has talked about joining the photo shop club. I have been after him to join something. He loves his digital media class and his teacher invited him to join the club. Hopefully he will do that soon.
The weather is getting really nice here in Texas. It has cooled down from Summer time temps. 80's and sunny with lower humidity is the norm right now. I'm loving it!
