My daughter, Rebecca, is getting married at the end of June. There is a bridal shower for her next weekend and I insisted I wanted to make the invitations. Ordinarily, this wouldn't be so surprising or difficult because it's what I love to do. But I take on these tasks at the worst of times. My husband and I are in the midst of a cross country move. The weekend I was needing to make these is the first weekend we had our house here in Round Rock, Texas up for sale. We had 8 showings in 3 days and we had to vacate the premises along with our dog with little notice. That in itself is tough enough but to mess up my craft room with making 32 shower invitations was tempting fate. But I found pockets of time on Saturday night and Sunday evening to get these designed and done and in the mail Monday morning. Whew! I even enlisted my husband's help. He thought I was nuts to do this but after almost 28 years of marriage he is used to this kind of thing.
Here are the cards in production. And the stack of cards finished.
And a close up of the finished product.
She has a barn venue for her wedding and reception and mason jars will be part of her centerpiece so I was trying to keep those themes in mind. I'm happy to say these invitations are now in the hands of the invitees and they seem pretty enamored of them.
Here is a list of all of the supplies used. As always, all supplies can be purchase on my website.
