I like cute. Cute babies, cute clothes, and cute cards. When I saw the Welcome Easter stamp in the Spring mini catalog I saw cute! Sure, this would make cute Easter cards but I also saw cute baby cards. So I joined a demonstrator card swap and created this baby card for my swap.

I've always loved tulips. Partly because they are one of the first flowers of spring but also because of the array of colors they come in. That's why I was drawn to the Timeless tulips stamp set and punch in the Spring mini catalog. There is such texture and depth built into these stamps. This was really a simple card. It looks like it's more complicated than it is and that's my favorite kind of card!

Sale-a-bration is a favorite time of year in my stamping world. Free product can be earned by everyone! Customers, hostesses, new recruits, and demonstrators. I love when everyone wins! I've earned my fair share of product from the Sale-a-bration catalog. So I found myself with the Lovely Lily pad, Lily pad dies, and Lily Impressions designer series paper. I'll be honest, I don't care for the Lily Impressions designer paper. So I used the set and dies and took them in a different direction. I used soft colors and I really love the result!
Admittedly, I used a ton of product on this card. I just pulled from what I had and kept going. Lol! All supplies used are below. And as always, you can order the product from my website.

The Peaceful Poppies designer series paper is gorgeous! It really is a work of art. When designer paper is this beautiful you want to let it take center stage on your card. That means keeping the card design pretty simple. This was the 2nd make-n-take card at my sister, Mary Jo's party. It is a re-make of a card I had in my stash. As you can see I framed the designer series paper in basic black and added the flower element off to the side. Simple yet beautiful!

Are you a perfectionist? When it comes to stamping I'm not. We stampers aren't machines. We are making hand-made cards. Whenever something is hand-made whether that be a cookie, a blanket, a card or other item there is going to be some lovely irregularity not a precision made line. That's part of the beauty of hand-made. It's perfectly imperfect. Kind of like people. You wouldn't believe how many tries it takes sometimes to come up with a card. The ink smears, it didn't stamp the way I wanted it to or I simply don't like the end design. This is one of those cards. It's deceptively simple. My friend Kathy and I created this card based on one we saw on pinterest and it took us like 5 tries to get it to come out the way we wanted it to. But that's ok. I love the process as well as the end result. And stamping with friends? Even better. I hope you will give yourself a little grace when stamping or making any home-made project. Your recipient will love that it is hand-made.

I held my Stampin' Up! Open House a few weeks back. I like to do nice and simple cards for make-n-takes for my customers at my open houses. The Painted Poppies stamp set is so lovely that I naturally reached for it.
Just some simple stamping. We did use the stamparatus to get a continuous group of flowers across the card and to line up the sentiment. The background where the brush strokes of blue are is from a stamp that is in the Painted Poppies stamp set. Here are all of the supplies used on the card.
