I love a good masculine card! But sometimes masculine cards can stump stampers. Typically, masculine cards are going to be a little more simple in nature with less embellishments. I like to use earth tones and texture in my cards for men. I've been wanting to get back to the stamp set, Whiskey Business, for awhile and I finally did with this card. We made this in my monthly stamp club in March.
The textured background is called Hive 3D embossing folder and is in the Spring catalog. I embossed a piece of pumpkin pie cardstock for the textured background. It was a little bit bright for my liking so I used some cajun craze ink with the blending brush to add some more depth and texture to it.
For the greeting I inked it up with Versamark ink on basic black cardstock. I then used white embossing powder to get a nice bold sentiment.
Here is the final product:
I am very pleased with how it turned out! How about you? What tips and tricks do you have for making masculine cards?
