Light the Way card

We had a fun time this week making these cards in my in person and virtual stamp club!  I got the idea for this layout of the card from a swap card I got from a fellow demonstrator.  That was my starting point.  I wanted to use the Lighting the Way dies and stamps.  I pulled out some dsp from the Delightfully Eclectic pack and along the way this became a rather nautical looking card.  I love the way it turned out! 

Dies with small intricate parts like this one do best with the adhesive backed sheets.  You simply apply the adhesive sheets to a piece of the cardstock and then run it through the die cut machine.  You have essentially made a sticker out of the die.  Just peel and stick to your project!

Pop Up Lime card

This pop up panel card is so much fun to make!  This is one of the cards we made this month in my monthly Hybrid Stamp club. And this Sweet Citrus stamp set, embossing folder and dies has quickly become my favorite in the catalog right now!  So much wow built in without a lot of effort.  I just love it!

Textured Card

Typewriter Card

Happy Independence Day America!  We aren't taking in any fireworks, parades, or anything.  We plan to see the latest Indiana Jones movie.  This movie always reminds me of my youngest son, Sam.  When he was a kid he was really into these movies.  He had books, computer games and legos in this same franchise.  Great memories.

I have had a lot of family life stuff in the past couple of months that have kept me extremely busy.  Mostly good stuff.  I haven't given my stamping life much energy.  I plan to remedy that in the coming months.  I'll start with posting this typewriter card from my June Hybrid stamp club.

Do you ever look through the Stampin' Up! catalog and certain stamp sets jump out at you?  That's what this stamp set did for me.  Coastal Cabana is my favorite Stampin' Up! color.  I decided to go for the retro vintage vibe I love so much and created this Coastal Cabana typewriter card.
