Even More Stampin' Up! Convention 2015!

I have even more fun Stampin' Up! convention pics and projects and stuff to share with you!  After Awards night there was a 20's theme party for us all.  You could dress up in 20's attire if you wanted to.  There was a band playing old music and teaching the Charleston, etc.  There were treats, and photo ops.  Here is a pic of Charlotte, Melanie, and I in this old time car.

Our picture in the car even made it into the Convention wrap up video.  You can view that video below.

In the Friday session of convention they handed out the new archival black ink pads.  These are the ink pads we have been waiting for!  They stamp really bold and they don't smear!

On the final General Session I received a prize patrol.

It's a stamp set from the upcoming Holiday catalog!  Everyone also received a pack of the absolutely fabulous designer paper pack, Season of Cheer, from the upcoming Holiday mini as well.

I have been back over a week from convention.  I have placed a pre-order from the Holiday catalog and the official pre-order this week.  I have no restraint when it comes to Stampin' Up! product!  :)  Good thing I get it at a discount.  The catalog goes live for all customers in September.  In the meantime, I will be sharing projects made with product from this upcoming catalog throughout August.

Stampin' Up! Convention 2015

I'm back from the Stampin' Up! Convention.  I had a blast and learned so much.  I have a lot to share with you so I will spread it out over several posts.  The Convention started out a little slow but picked up steam the 2nd day and quickly became the fun and information packed event I have come to know and love!

Here is a picture of the stage.  They always do a fabulous job on this design!

I had two ladies I met in Texas adopt me in their group and I roomed and hung out with them at convention.  Thanks to Melanie and Charlotte for inviting me to convention!  I made them roommate gifts to show my appreciation. 

We all get the same bag from Stampin' Up! when we check in.  I thought it would be helpful for us all to have our own unique bag tag to identify our bags from the rest.

These are mint containers I decorated with the Flower Patch stamp set, item#134207, $26.00 and the coordinating Flower Fair Framelits, item#133731, $25.00.  You can bundle them together and save 15%! Just use item#136788, $43.25 for both.

EOS lipbalm is the middle of the flower.  I used the Floral Frames Collection Framelits for the flowers, item#127012, $27.00.  I used the leaf from the Flower Fair framelits from above.  Attach with glue dots to a fun striped straw, emboss the flower with one of your embossing folders and you have this fun and easy project!

Here are their gifts all together.  I color coordinated the ink and cardstock so they all went together as a set.  I used Soft Sky, So Saffron and Watermelon Wonder inks and cardstock.  I used Old Olive for the leaves.

Convention fun!!!

I'm having a blast at convention with my friend and downline, Kelly! This is about our 5th convention together and it doesn't get old. On our first day Becky Higgins, creator of Project Life came on stage with our founder, Shelli and talked about the product line. I'm excited to try this simplified version of scrapbooking. Here is a picture of Shelli and Becky discussing Project Life and one of just Becky.

Today is our last day. I fly back to Texas tomorrow. It is always mixed feelings towards the end of convention. There is the excitement of new product and new ideas and the exhaustion that sets in. We've survived an excruciating winter and a soggy spring. So it's time to celebrate by coming back to the barn where we've been unearthing treasures and repurposing tired objects. We have tables of every size and shape. We have chairs of wood and wicker and even metal. We have taken funky old containers such as gas cans and picnic coolers and turned them into lamps. We have picnic tables complete with everything you need for a picnic -- you just bring the food. We have roosters in metal, wood and ceramic and they are scratching their way across table cloths, salt and pepper shakers and even a paper towel holder. Stampers, you're in luck because we have Stampin' Up supplies and hand-stamped cards.  If you're focused on the garden, and who isn't after this rain, find our garden treasures scattered around the barn and beyond. We've got bird baths made from old lamps and enamel pans. We've got watering cans and benches and footstools. We also have tiny treasures that are worth searching out. So bring your picker's eye and check us out at 310 Wayside Road W., Hopkins. The sale goes on rain or shine, but we're definitely crossing our fingers for shine.
