Ferris Wheel

Bake on the bike(trike)

When I first see these types of stamps with lots of detail, I am not immediately drawn to them.  Then I see cards made with them and Bam! I am drawn in.  Most of the work is done for you built right into the stamp image.  Why do I resist these at first?  This card is a case of the very talented Michelle Zindorf.  It's always fun to do an image with motion by stamping full strength and then lighter mulitple times.  There is sponging at the top with Baja Breeze ink, at the bottom with Sahara Sand and in the middle of the trike with Soft Suede ink.   An antique brass brad is added at the middle of the big wheel and the samll wheel of the trike. 

I had a very busy birthday week last week.  I went out to Mystic Lake Casino with my girlfriends and won at Bingo! Then I went out for Mexican food the next night with my family.  Mexican is my favorite!

In Search of Elegance

Do you have a stamping style?  Perhaps it is clean and simple, vintage, cutesy, or something else.  I don't consider myself to have a stamping style.  Instead, I love to experiment with all kinds of different styles.  What's that saying?  Jack of all trades, master of none. That's me.  Caseing is good too.  I'm pretty good at that.  Lol!  i saw a card that I particularly loved.  It was so elegant. This is my CASE of that card.   I didn't have the stamp set or the pop cap embellishment so I had to improvise.  I love how it came out!  This gorgeous paper is the Sycamore Street designer paper you can earn for FREE with a $50 purchase through March 22 during the Sale-a-braton promotion.

Happy for Hexagons

The weather put a wrench in my Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Open House yesterday.  I had lots of people cancel because of the rain mixed with snow combination we had going here on Sunday.  I can't say I blame them.  You can't predict the weather in January in Minnesota(or really at any time of year). Some folks did stop by though and it was great to see some faces I haven't seen in awhile and catch up!

One of the make-n-takes we made was this one.

 I CASEd this card from Mindy Backes. I simplified it by doing a stamped flower rather than the paper flower. I love how she stamped inside the hexagon shape with the little stamps in this set.  Perfecto!
